Cardwell goes on a Second Date with Victory, Wins at Limaland

Lima, OH - (August 20, 2020) Hayden Cardwell fires another warning shot in the Down Under Graphics Midget Series championship as he dominated at Limaland Motorsports Park and regained the points lead over James Edens. Logan Rumsey would be the only driver to drop into the 12 second bracket in qualifying and snag the pole over the Slick Simsport duo of JD Brown and Hayden Cardwell. Rylan Gray, William Yeager, Cardwell, and Kendal would win their respective heat races while Harry Stewart would win the B-Main.

The main event would be a wild one. Rylan Gray and Yeager would lead the field to the green and have Gray squirt out to an early lead but would be short lived as Cardwell would take it on lap three. The track quickly changed into to have an awkward slider/cutback line and twist the race into a hard-nosed brawl after a caution on lap 15. In the end, Cardwell would end up victorious after an onslaught of restarts. Swindell Speedlab driver, Cole Cabre would end up second after starting 15th, and have an also hard-charging Jimmy Mullis finish third. Edens, who entered the even as the points leader, would finish fifth.

The next ASCORS Down Under Graphics Midget Series race will be September 3 at Lanier National Speedway.
