ASCORS Returns with the Thursday Night Thunder Midget Series
After laying dormant for three years, ASCORS will return to the iRacing service providing another home for competitive sim racers to race.
The league’s first series to kick off their return will bring the dirt midget to the forefront. The Thursday Night Thunder Midget Series will try to emulate that local short track feel using a live single car qualifying format. “Finding that league that uses the dirt midget and having a quality field has been very difficult. To prep for future events, and occupy the winter season itch to race, we’re gonna rip the lip right off your computer screen” says League Owner and Head Admin, JD Laird. “With the quality of racing in the iRacing official series starting to decline, I felt the need to bring back the league in order to see those quality races again.”
In addition to the Thursday Night Thunder Midget Series starting in December, the groundwork is being laid down to host the 2020 Chili Bowl, as well as a NASCAR series using the iRacing Class B car.
More information will be coming soon as the admins begin to finalize everything for the relaunch of the league.
